On Repeat Week 4
It's week 4 of music! This week was tough to choose what songs to post because there have been so many new releases. I enjoy introducing people to groups that aren't really big yet, but a lot of big name artists delivered. Hopefully, I can show you some of the highlights from this weeks massive inflow of music! As always, if you haven't seen the other weeks of music, be sure to check them out!FOR LAST WEEK'S ON REPEAT CLICK HERE: On Repeat Week 3
First, we have a song off of Jason Aldean's latest album. The album called 'Night Train' is probably the biggest country album to drop this week. He's a great artist and proves that he's experienced in the country game with this set of songs. Some of my favorites on this album are 'Take a Little Ride' and 'This Nothin' Town'. You definitely have to check them out. This song is called 'Feel That Again':
Next up we have a remix of one of Calvin Harris's latest songs. The song called 'Sweet Nothing' Ft. Florence Welch is great on its own, but this remix by Dirtyloud gives it that extra dubstep punch that complements the soft vocals very nicely. I definitely recommend downloading the original, but if you're a fan of dubstep, this version is pretty damn good:
'Tidal Wave' Ft. Alpines by Sub Focus is another soft song, but it still has nice modulated basslines and a little bit of a drum'n'bass beat that gives it a smooth, uplifting vibe. Sub Focus makes some great dubstep remixes, but this song shows another side to their usual hard-hitting style:
This next song was one that I just happened to stumble upon while browsing the dance section on iTunes. It's called 'What Does Tomorrow Bring' by Starkillers and Richard Beynon. I don't really know anything about this artist, but this song is awesome. I'm definitely interested in doing some research to see what the rest of their music is like. I'll keep you all posted, but for now just enjoy this:
Pierce Fulton is an upcoming dance music artist that is about to be huge. He's currently on tour with Wolfgang Gartner and Popeska. They actually just stopped by Ann Arbor this past week I believe. Anyways, 'Sink or Swim' Ft. Bebe Rexha is a song he just dropped. It has a nice, chill feel to it which makes it such a great song to study to. Take a listen:
Obviously, I'm pretty stuck on dance music this week. There are so many great tracks that it's hard to not post them. But, for the sake of mixing things up a little bit, here's 'Thrift Shop' by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. If you haven't heard of them, you're missing out. This song dropped as a single back in August and it's on their album 'The Heist' that just dropped last week. You can't help but move when you hear the beat:
That just about wraps it up for this week's music! Hopefully you enjoyed a couple songs. I know I was a little heavy on the dance music this week, so I'll shoot for some variation next week. It's just so hard to not focus on one genre when there are so many good songs!!! Come back next week (and every week) for more music! Thanks!
