On Repeat Week 14
Hey everyone, sorry for the long break from posts. I was taking the couple weeks I had off to relax and work on job applications and stuff. I should be posting consistently for the next few weeks though! There have been a ton of great new releases, so expect this week to be big.First off, we have the newest from Skrillex's new EP, Leaving. These songs are very different than what everyone has come to expect from Skrillex. Rather than having hard-hitting, mashed up wobble basses, they are a quieter and smoother. The first is called 'The Reason' and is more upbeat than the other. The second is the EP's title track 'Leaving' and it has a softer garage feel to it. The third is called 'Scary Bolly Dub' which almost has a reggae feel. It's the hardest out of the three and features some sampling from 'Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites'. Take a listen:
This one is a smooth electro-house track from Late Night Alumni called 'Shine' and it is the Fareoh's One-Hitter Remix. It starts out pretty slow, but it picks up a little as the song goes on. The melody is smooth and catchy and it's a good one to chill out to. Check it:
This is the Chrizz Luvly Remix 'We Are Your Friends' by Justice vs. Simian. It's an absolute banger. Play this one on some heavy speakers and it'll blow your mind. The bassline is insane and the song keeps a heavy dropping beat pulsing the entire time:
Here's a couple of electro-house bangers from two great artists. The first is called 'The Void' by Nova and this is the Rodridan Remix. The second is 'Tasty Planet' by The Noisy Freaks and this is the Nation Remix. Both are nice mashed up dubby bass songs. Take a listen:
Here's a great dubstep song. It has a smoother bass rather than a dirty one, but it hits the right places to make this an awesome tune. Guaranteed, it's one that you'll listen to several times. The mix of vocals is great as well. It's called 'Alive' Ft. Lisa Rowe by Virtual Riot:
Here's the Jacob Plant dubstep remix of Rihanna's 'Diamonds'. He just gives it a little boost during the chorus. It's nothing super special, but it's a nice twist on a popular song. Check it out:
This is the Rofl Monster Remix of Merit's 'Cityscape'. It's a smooth D'n'B song that will get your bpm sensor going off. It's really catchy and is an excellent choice for a chill song to listen to. It really hits the mood if it's snowy out in my opinion. Listen:
Well that's all I had time to put up for now. But I'll probably update the post later tonight. Enjoy!
