On Repeat Week 11
Over 700 views! Thanks for all the support everyone! Just a heads up, but finals are right around the corner, so I'm going to try my best to put up as many good songs as possible with the amount of free time I have. I know I can't study without music, and I'm sure this is the case for some of you. Hopefully, I can give you some good study tunes to keep you up during the late nights ahead:FOR LAST WEEK'S ON REPEAT CLICK HERE: On Repeat Week 10
First, as promised, it's the full version of 'Get What You Give' by Alex Kenji & Manuel De La Mare Ft. Jamie Lee Wilson. To be honest, I thought the song would be a little more epic than it turned out to be, but it's still decent:
Next up, we have a sick hip/hop song by Big Boi Ft. Kid Cudi called 'She Hates Me'. It's pretty chill, and the combination of Big Boi's raps and Cudi's smooth hook makes this a great relaxation song. Definitely download this for those study breaks:
Here's a straight up banger from one of my new favorite artists Starkillers and BL3ND. It's called 'Xception'. The drop just kills it, bringing a heavy, fast-paced modulated bass that will give you a jolt if you start falling asleep studying. Throw this bad boy in the middle of your study playlist for a nice wake-up call:
This one's a chill, indie song that's been given a little extra bounce. It's called 'San Francisco' originally by The Mowgli's. This is the Little Daylight remix that came out a couple weeks ago. It has a smooth synth line that juices it up. Listen:
Bassjackers, who was featured in a previous post, has teamed up with Showtek to drop this electro house banger called 'Hey!'. If you don't play this on some speakers with a good sub, you're missing out. The drop will blow your mind. This is another one of those wake-up calls that you'll probably need:
Here's the newest release that I got from David Guetta's YouTube channel. It's called 'Just One Last Time' Ft. Taped Rai. Honestly, I'm not the hugest fan of the vocals in this song - they're a little off-key which works in some songs, but not in this one in my opinion. But, it's still not bad. You can hear some familiar patterns with the up-down-up-down synth line in the chorus:
I'm not typically a fan of rap/house combinations or European rapping. It's just a personal taste thing. However, this song called 'Not a Saint' by Vato Gonzalez vs. Lethal Bizzle & Donae'O has a pretty sick drop that'll get you moving. Check it out:
This is a new one from A-Trak & Tommy Trash called 'Tuna Melt' of of A-Trak's EP 'Tuna Melt'. The steady flow of bass makes this a great workout song. For some reason though, I feel like I'm half a beat behind during the drop:
As most of you probably know, Wiz Khalifa just dropped his album 'O.N.I.F.C.'. It starts out with some slower songs, but it has some harder hitting ones mid-album. Definitely check out 'Let It Go' Ft. Akon, 'It's Nothin' Ft. 2 Chainz, and 'Medicated' Ft. Chevy Woods & Juicy J. This one is called 'Bout Me' Ft. Problem & Iamsu which is actually a bonus track that was released on his mixtape 'Cabin Fever 2'. It's old, but check out the rest of the album:
This is Kid Cudi's single 'King Wizard' off of his upcoming album. He made a YouTube video earlier this year with a preview. He produced the song himself, so it has more of a raw sound rather than a cleaner studio-edited sound. It's pretty slow, but a good chill song:
This is the Skidka Remix of 'Make Some Noise' by Tiesto & Swanky Tunes Ft. Ben McInerney. It's on the 'Dance (RED) Save Lives' album which was presented by Tiesto for World AIDS Day 2012. It's an album full of great electro-house/dance songs. Definitely check it out:
EDIT: So, there were a bunch of new releases today. I wanted to feature Florida Georgia Line's new album 'Here's To the Good Times', but it was difficult to find videos or audio for you. I also wanted to feature a song called 'Erase' by The Chainsmokers - The Samantha Ronson Remix is on iTunes now and it's not bad, so check it out.
Well, I made this post a little early (before midnight) so there will be a bunch of new music dropping tomorrow. This means you can almost guarantee there will be an updated version sometime in the next 24 hours, so make sure you check back in if you're seeing this today (Monday). Thanks again everyone!
